TIMON, John, Beeville Bee, Wednesday, 4 Feb 1891:

On last Friday night at about 10 o’clock, Corpus Christi was thrown into great excitement by the 
report of Mr. John Timon, an old and wealthy citizen of that city, has been found dead in his home.  
The discovery was made by his wife and daughter who had left Beeville that evening after spending 
a week there.  A first it was thought that he had died of apoplexy, but he disorder of the furniture in 
the two rooms upstairs have led to the opinion he may have been murdered.  The physicians who 
were called in, say he died of unknown causes.
