WEST, Mrs. Amanda, Beeville Bee, Friday, 28 Oct 1904:

Died at her home in Refugio County near Blanconia, Saturday, Oct. 22, Mrs. Amanda 
WEST, aged 78 years, from heart disease.

Deceased was the relict of the late Mike West, who had preceded her in death scarcely 
more than a year ago.  In 1850 she was united in marriage to Mike West in Jefferson 
County, Texas, and they moved to Refugio County shortly afterwards.  

She is survived by several children, some of whom are residents of this county, together 
with a host of friends who will mourn her loss.
