WILKINSON, R. P., Beeville Bee, Friday, 12 Oct 1905:

Berclair, Texas. Oct.7th. 
Mr. R. P. WILKINSON, an ex-confederate soldier and one of the oldest settlers of this 
county, died at the family residence yesterday and was buried here today with Masonic 
honors. The deceased has been a resident of this county for more than forty years 
and the owner of a large and valuable ranch adjacent to this place. He leaves a large family.

Mr. Wilkinson is known by many residents of Bee County. He was a native of England, 
coming from the good old Saxon province of Yorkshire that furnished Britain with some 
of its best yeomanry.
