WRIGHT, Mrs. Ellen, Beeville Bee, Wednesday, 7 Jan 1891:

Death of Mrs. Ellen S. Wright.  The many friends of Mrs. Wright will be grieved to learn of 
her demise which occurred in Beeville yesterday, AM, caused by inflammation and blood 
poison.  The deceased has been ill 15 days.  Mrs. Ellen was born in San Patricio Co. on the 
12th day of Feb. 1858, making her nearly 33 years old.  She was the daughter of May 
O’Doherty and Pat O’Doherty.  Since childhood she was a consistent and exemplary member 
of the Catholic Church.  A loving husband and five children, four boys and one girl, the eldest 
being nine years old and the youngest 15 days, besides numerous relatives and friends are 
left to mourn her loss.  The remains were carried to San Patricio for burial that the last wishes 
of the deceased might be carried out.
