YOUNG, Willie Ney, Beeville Bee, Friday, 10 Jul 1891:

Died at the home of Mr. H. T. Staples, in Live Oak County at 2 o’clock PM, Tuesday, June 25, 1891, 
Willie Ney Young, aged 15 years, 4 months and 16 days.  Willie had the misfortune of becoming 
orphaned when very young and for nearly 5 years he had lived with the family of Mr. and Mrs. Staples 
who had taken him to raise and who were sincerely and affectionately attached to the kind hearted 
honest little boy.  His illness was brief but very painful.  Three sisters and two brothers survived him, 
all of whom with the exception of the eldest brother, were with him when he died.
