PAGE, Edward, Beeville Bee, 14 Jan 1898: The rather sudden and unexpected death of Mr. Edward Page, a well known farmer-rancher of this county, who lived near Cadiz, occurred at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Ike Howard, in this city, on last Friday evening, the 7th, inst. The death of Mr. Page may be said to be sudden and unexpected from the fact that no man in the county possessed a stronger physique than he and up to about a week previous to his demise he was hale and hearty. Something supposed to be appendicitis had attacked him, when he arrived in town for treatment. Peritonitis had already set in, and though he had the best medical attention, he could find no relief. His funeral occurred on Saturday morning. Mr. Page was a native of Bee County and in the 44th year of his age at the time of his death. He leaves a wife and six children, the oldest of whom is married.
