Pioneer of Highland Park Passes - Funeral services were held at the Alamo Funeral Home, on Thursday, September 6th at 3 p.m. for Mrs. H. C. Millar, 915 Drexel Ave., who died on Tuesday night preceding, after an illness of nearly 4 years.

Mrs. Millar, who was born Victoria Embree, in Miller Co., Ark., was 82 years old. She has lived more than 40 years in San Antonio, most of the time in Highland Park.

She was a member of Central Christian Church, and a Life Member of Adah Chapter, Eastern Star. Her pastor, Rev. W.Earl Waldrop, officiated at the service, assisted by the Rev. T. Ervin Vesle, pastor of Southside Christian Church. Graveside services were conducted by Adah Chapter, in Mission Burial Park.

Mrs. Miller is survived by one sister, Mrs. A.L. Order of Santa Anna, who has been here most of the time for two years for her sister. Mrs. Oder and other members of the family wish to thank friends and neighbors who were so kind during Mrs. Millar's long illness and at the time of death.
