The funeral of the late Felix M. Shaw will take place this afternoon at 5 o'clock from the family residence, 323 West Woodlawn Avenue. Services will be held at the residence and will be conducted by Rev. E. D. Mouzon of the Travis Park Methodist Episcopal church. The pallbearers will be as follows: Honorary, Dr. Amos Graves Sr., George W. West, W.J. Moore, Sr., C.C. Clamp, W.B. Blocker, Lane Taylor, V.D. Brown, Thomas C. Frost. Active John B. Blocker, J.T. Woodhull, A.H. Jones, A.E. Mitchell, W.H. Jennings, W.J. Moore, Jr., J.W. Kokernot, J.M. Kincaid.

Internment will be in Dignowity Cemetery.

Mr. Shaw died last night at 8:30 o'clock at his home after an illness of 10 days, which he contracted while on his ranch at Carrizo Springs by becoming overheated. He was looking after the branding of cattle when he was stricken.

Immediately upon receipt of the news of his malady here Mrs. Shaw with Dr. Amos Graves, Sr., hurried to his bedside on a special train. It was found necessary to bring the patient to San Antonio and without the loss of time he was placed in an automobile and taken across the country to Uvalde and there placed on a special train and brought to San Antonio. He was taken to his home, where everything that medical skill could provide was done to restore him to health, but without avail.

His father, J.H. Shaw, a brother living in Fort Worth and a sister in Austin were summoned and were at his bedside when he passed away.

Mr. Shaw was 49 years of age. He was born in Travis county, near Austin, November 24, 1859. He had always resided in Texas and was engaged in the livestock and ranch business. He came to San Antonio with his family about five years ago.
