FALL PROVES FATAL
Carpenter Drops Off 40-Foot Scaffold on South Cherry Street.

Falling on his head from a scaffold 40 feet in the air, Rufus Edward Voss, a carpenter, was injured fatally yesterday, and died later, after being removed to the hospital. He was at work on a new building being constructed at 309 South Cherry street, when he fell to the ground, resulting in the fracture of his skull.

Mr. Voss was 62 years old and had resided in San Antonio for the last eleven Years. He is survived by his widow. The funeral will be held from the Residence, 302 Regent street, this afternoon, at 4 o’clock and interment will Be made in city cemetery No. 3. Members of Carpenters’ Union No. 14 will March in a body to the cemetery.
