Brewers Hill Cemetery

Brewers Hill Cemetery, Burleson County, Texas Cooks Point, Texas

GPS Coords: 30.6183793, -96.5538669
Highway 21, east side of Burleson County, 1.1 miles down County Road 221.

This large, cyclone-fenced area of land is located behind the Jerusalem Baptist Church in the Brewers Hill community. The church is made of newer brick. I am presuming at some time it has replaced the original building, for the first deed I located is dated July 28, 1893.

Most of the tombstones in the cemetery are the more modern type, though many are homemade markers. The cemetery needed mowing when I was there, but otherwise looked well-kept. Photographs were taken of the near 60 available grave makers.

Gravestones for six veterans, covering three wars were located. Old records indicate many graves are in the cemetery, even though they are not marked.

List is not in order found. Two markers with no names.
