J.F. Smith, Caldwell, Texas is requesting someone to help identify him for pension purposes. He states he was a member of Co. C, 21st Texas Calvary, Carter's Brigade
1899
George Lawrence, over 50 broke both of his legs in an accident with his horse. He is an old confederate solider and well-known in Merle area of Burleson Co.
1900
J.M. King moved to Burleson Co. in 1853 and built Burleson County's first brick courthouse. He is a Confederate veteran.

James R. Pollack, 89 years, "He enlisted from Burleson County at age of 16, joined 10th Regiment at Galveston under command of Col. RogerQ. Mills and was active four years of strife."

Mrs. Theodocia Williams Calvin, age 77, died Sept. 1, 1938 and was buried at Providence Cemetery. She was the daughter of M.M. Williams. Williams, her father was killed in the battle of Chicamagua during the Civil War.

Mrs. Mary Dunn Ward, age 89 died December 1, 1938. She was the widow of the late L.D. Ward, who died of wounds received in Civil War. She was buried at Providence Cemetery.
