Look-Ups

We need volunteers to do lookups from material they may have available or have access to. Maybe go to a cemetery and take a gravestone picture. Visit the courthouse and look for a record. If you have a subscription to Ancestry.com you could do a census lookup.

There are many ways you can be valuable to fellow researchers without ever leaving home. Can you type or scan documents? Can you transcribe information and send in?

If you would like to help or be listed as a lookup volunteer, contact Paula Perkins. Just put Cass County in the subject line and state how you think you could be of help. We appreciate help, no matter how big or small!

Please be respectful of any person you request to do a lookup. These people are usually involved in their own research, have jobs during the day and are doing this on a voluntary basis. Limited requests to one or two names unless the volunteers says they will accept more (for copyrighted material see USGenWeb official policy). Provide as much information as possible and be as specific as possible. "Requesting anything on Smith's" will not get much of a response. Be sure to express your appreciation to the volunteers for the efforts made on your behalf Please note we do try to keep this list of lookup volunteers current but in some instances they might not be available to assist you.
