 Ackerson-Woodruff

Mr. and Mrs. David Ackerson of Flint announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily, to J.D. Woodruff, son of Danny and Weida Woodruff of Rusk. They will be married at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, in a private ceremony at the Adams Chapel United Methodist Church, Bulah community. A reception will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Eastside Baptist Church. Mr. Woodruff is the grandson of Mary B. Hassell of Rusk and the late J.L. Hassell and Robert H. Woodruff of Sulphur Springs and the late Bess Woodruff. Miss Ackerson is the granddaughter of Mary Cleaver of Tyler and the late Rev. Odis Cleaver, Keith Ackerson of Edinburg and Mary Taylor of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
