RICHARD HACKNEY
BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY
Faith in God, Character, & Purpose
Dr. Richard Hackney
holds that these three areas are the foundation for success for they
characterize his life and have led to
his
many accomplishments.
Born and
raised in Cherokee County as one of the youngest of eleven children, the Hackney
household knew that faith in God brought about strong character and strong
character propelled
one to work in excellence. It was this mantra that led Dr.
Hackney to receive his undergraduate
degree from Texas Southern University,
Pharm.D degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the
University of Tennessee, College of Pharmacy and is a registered Pharmacist by
the State of
Texas.
His more than
30 year career in pharmacy includes seventeen years in Oncology Pharmaceutical
Sales as Regional Territory and District Manager with Bristol-Myers Squibb
Oncology; nine
years in Pharmaceutical Sales training, consultation
&
recruitment with The Hackney Group;
five years as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, four years in
Hospital Pharmacy
Management; two years of University Administration as Interim Vice President of
Institutional
Advancement
&
Development at Texas Southern University; two years as HUD-HBCU Program
Manager at Texas College; and in addition, many years of local, state, national
and international
speaking engagements.
Dr. Hackney
currently serves as founder and CEO of Hackney
&
Associates LLC, a pharmacy
consulting company specializing in Healthcare and Long-Term Care. He continues
to serve the
East Texas Community as a member of the Cherokee County Historical Commission;
he is also a
member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Bullard where he serves as a
member of the
Deacon Board.
Dr. Hackney
is the proud husband of Theresa and recently celebrated 45 years of marriage. He
is
also the father of two daughters and the grandfather of eight grandchildren.
