Jasper Everett Burkett was
born June 27, 1908 in Burkett, the
youngest child of William and Laura Ellen
(Yates) Burkett (see John and Elizabeth
Burkett). He served in the
Timberwolf Division in World War II.
He married Yuna V. Cross, daughter of
James Henry and Carrie J. (Worley) Cross,
August, 1932 in Grandfield, Oklahoma, born
March 20, 1916 . Jasper E. died June 26,
1965 in Cross Plains. To this union
were born:
(1) Jimmie Beau,
July 31, 1934 at Santa Anna, married Edna
Mae Lee in January, 1955 at McAllen.
Their three children are:

Cheryl Lynn, January 5, 1956 in Sinton,
married Albert Kincheloe, June, 1973, two
children: Christopher and Jim B.

Pamela Kay, October 20, 1959 in Ft. Worth,
married John E. Tillery, 1976 in Ft.
Worth. Children: Shane, Matthew
Clayton.
(1c)
LaQuetta Ann, May 5, 1964, married Berry
Mark Day, in 1978. Their children: Kenda
C., and Dustin B.
(2) Joe Everett,
December 13, 1940 at Coleman, married
Sandra K. Lusk, January 18, 1958, at
Frederick, Oklahoma. Joe served as a
helicopter instructor at Camp Walters.
Their three children are:

Dillard at Cross Plains. Their
child: Christin Lucille, February 1983.
