MIAMI AVENUE

Miami Avenue is in the South Park Addition.  It originally began at what was then Santa Anna Avenue, which in 1948 connected to Needham Highway (now Needham Street) at South Commercial Avenue, following part of the route Roselawn Avenue or Street) takes today.  The short section of East Needham Street, between South Commercial Avenue and Hollywood Drive, soon became Miami Avenue

Santa Anna Avenue was soon extended to South Commercial Avenue, eliminating its connection to Hollywood Drive.

In 2005,  Miami Avenue began at Roselawn Avenue and extends east to Guadalupe Street.

However, a map in 2023 (below) shows Miami Avenue, then called Miami Street to begin at South Commercial Avenue
and extending to Guadalupe Street.
