Notes

Heinrich Wehe was undoubtedly one of three brothers who immigrated to Texas. The eldest was Friedrich Wehe, born circa 1826 in Anhalt, Germany and his wife Friedericke was also born in Anhalt circa 1830. The youngest of the three brothers was Carl Wehe, born circa 1836 in Anhalt and his wife, Auguste, was born circa 1834 in Nassau. Heinrich Wehe, as shown in the 1860 Census, was still unmarried and making his home with Carl, his younger brother. Heinrich married Elizabeth Krause in 1862.
