Uzell Hotel

Barksdale, Texas

T. W. Uzell, was one of the earliest settlers in the area, arriving in 1878.  He later returned to Bee County. his son, Craig Uzell, moved his family to the Nueces Canyon in 1906.  He  bought the old Johnny Coalson Hotel (built in 1896) building from Jim Boales and put a livery stable across the street from it.
