Malakoff Items

W. C. Smith is quite sick and has been some time
but was a little better this morning. He got thrown
from his buggy a short time ago and his injuries
therefrom aggravate his troubles.
H. L. Flagg & Co. have their new business opened up
and are doing finely. W. N. Flagg is in charge. They
have a nice stock and a pretty store.
Smith & Smith are now in their new brick house which
is a good building and adds much to that side of town.
J. N. Parker, late of Purdon, is now a citizen of Malakoff
and is in the family grocery business. Mr. Parker
appears to be a fine man.
N. B. Phillips, late of Navarro county, has settled near
Malakoff and is another good citizen added to our
population.
Mr. Dodge Gentry left for Rusk county to visit home
folks.
