Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Lee Henderson of Kaufman were held Monday, January
4, from the Anderson Clayton Bros. Chapel in Kemp with Rev. Bert Alford officiating.
Interment was in the King Cemetery.
Mrs. Henderson was born on Feb 14,1907 in the Aley community in Henderson county.
she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Hammonds. She was educated in the Henderson
county public schools and was a member of the Cottage Heights Baptist Church in
Kaufman. Mrs Henderson lived in Kaufman for the past ten years.
Mrs. Henderson married Virgil Henderson on September 16,1939 at the Aley community.
surviving her are: her husband, Virgil Henderson of Kaufman; seven sons, Virgil
Henderson Jr. of Crockett; Tracy Henderson of Crockett; Albert Henderson of Crockett;
Bill Hughes of Edgewood; Otis Hughes of Dallas; Harold Ray Hughes of Dallas; and Walter
Hughes of California; three daughters, Mrs. Reba Smiley of Kaufman; Mrs. Earnestine
Ball of Eustace; and Mrs Kathryn Houston of Kemp; four brothers, Raymond Hammonds
of Dallas; Jack Hammonds of Fairfield; Louie Hammonds of Wills Point; and Gus Hammonds;
one sister, Mrs. Eloise Grinstead of Garland; 40 grandchildren and several great
grandchildren and great great grandchildren. pallbeares were: Kevin Henderson, Charles

Services for Brenda Kay Scarborough,

Brenda Kay Scarborough 34, of Gun Barrel City are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Legendary
Baptist Church in Gun Barrel City with Mr. Billy Hodges and the Rev. Ron Flurry officiating.

Burial will follow at King Cemetery in Henderson County under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.

Mrs. Scarborough died Nov. 29, 1998, in Athens following a sudden illness.

She was born April 26, 1964, in Waco to Glenda Yarbrough. Previously from Lewisville, she had
resided in Gun Barrel City for the past six years and was Baptist by faith.

Mrs. Scarborough is survived by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Scarborough of Gun Barrel City;
her son, Alan Ray Scarborough of Gun Barrel City; one sister, Crissie Nicole Scarborough of Gun
Barrel City; cousins, Carla Alder and Teresa Wolverton of Garland; one uncle, Pete Adler of Garland;
other family members; and a host of friends.
Biddie Nina Williams

Funeral services were held for Biddie Nina Williams,

Biddie Nina Williams 89, of Kemp on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at
Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home with the Revs. Dale Mason and James Hughes officiating.
Interment followed in the King Cemetery in Henderson County.

Mrs. Williams was born Oct. 24, 1913, in Idabell, Okla., to Robert Boaz and Ella Mae (Gambrell)
Ford and died Oct. 31, 2002, in Kaufman. She was a lifetime member of the Tolosa Baptist Church.
She married Thomas G. Williams in Garvin, Okla., on Aug. 22, 1931, and he preceded her in death on
July 16, 1987. Her parents, four sisters and five brothers also preceded her.

She is survived by a lot of nieces and nephews. Members of the family were pallbearers.
