Mrs. Callie A. Meador, 87, of Athens died Tuesday afternoon in a
local hospital following a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the
Foster and Brown Funeral Home with Elder M. Luce officiating.
Burial will be in the Willow Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Meador was a native of Henderson County. She was born
October 9, 1888. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Houston Bell.
Mrs. Meador had lived all of her life in this area and was a
member of the Primitive Baptist church.
Survivors include one son, Marshall Meador of Route 1, Athens;
two daughters, Mrs. J. C. Allen, Route 2, Athens; Mrs. Nona Boyd
of Rute 1, Athens;
one sister, Mrs. Sally Brooks of Corrigan; 14 grandchildren; 37
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Thomas Allen, Edwin Joe Allen, Jimmy
Don Meador, Kenneth Boyd, Wayne Boyd, Hodgie Boyd and Butch Boyd.
