C. A. Spencer's Rites Arranged

Funeral services for C. A. Spencer, 81, retired merchant and cotton buyer and a life-long resident of Henderson County, will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
at the First Presbyterian Church. Spencer, a veteran of the Spanish-American War, died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in McKinney.

Conducting the services will be the Rev. Harvey Parker, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church the Rev. D. H. Bonner, pastor of the First Baptist Church
of Austin, and the Rev. O. W. Hooper, retired Methodist pastor of Athens.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Spencer Miller, Lubbock; Gus Miller, Lamesa; Dan Spencer, Grand Prairie; Jerome Spencer, Victor Spencer and Gene Spencer, Athens; Freeman Spencer, Kaufman, and Joe Bailey Spencer, Fort Worth.

He is survived by his wife, a sister, Mrs. A. M. Miller, Lubbock; two sons, James Spencer of Texarkana and Charles Spencer of Lubbock, and four
daughters, Mrs. George T. Bateman of Garland, Mrs. Eleanor S. Whaley of Dallas, Mrs. C. W. Wigley of Henderson and Mrs. Webb Rogers Jr. of Marshall.

Burial will be in the Athens City Cemetery.
