J. N. McClung dies in Dallas
Dallas, Texas Jan 9
J. N. McClung of Aley Texas who was run over by a street car 
at the Oak Cliff end of the trestle on the night of December 31 
died at the Baptist Sanitrium just before 12 o'clock last night. 
Mr. McClung's right leg was so badly injured that amputation
just below the knee was necessary. He was also injured about 
the head and in the  right side. He was conscious only at intervals. 
Mr. McClung who was 28 years old owned a farm near Old 
Buffalo in Henderson County. When he was injured he was in 
Dallas on a land trade. He is survived by his wife and several 
children. The body is being held at the Lo????  ???ilk parlors. 
The arrangement and the funeral will be made today.

Mrs. F. H. Moore Dead
from Monday's Daily
Mrs. F. H. Moore, mother of Mrs. R .E. Yantis died this 
morning at Big Sandy. Deceased was 78 years of age. 
Mrs. Yantis was to ill to leave this morning.

Local News from Eustace
Mrs. Rebecca Beard died at the home of her son 
W. S. Beard, a few miles south of Eustace, Saturday 
Jan 20 at 6 o'clock a.m. She was laid to rest late in 
the afternoon of the same day in the Old Payne Graveyard.

Bige Marie, the three month old baby girl of Mrs. C. D. 
O'Neal died just before 12 o'clock Saturday night, Jan 20th, of 
catarrhal pneumonia after an illness of over two weeks. 
The funeral service was conducted by Mr. J. M. Melton and the
remains interred at Payne Springs Cemetery Sunday afternoon.

C. B. Thompson Dead
Malakoff Texas Jan 28
C. B. Thompson, a prominent citizen of Malakoff, 
who was taken to Mineral Wells a few weeks ago in 
an effort to regain his health, died there Sunday. 
The body will be brought here tomorrow for burial. 
Deceased was one of the most prominent citizens of 
Malakoff. He is survived by his wife and several children.

Mrs. W. F. Henderson Succumbs to Long Illness

Mrs. W. F. Henderson of this city succumbed Friday 
afternoon at 3:30 to an illness of several years. 
Eight years ago she suffered a stroke of paralysis 
and since that time had never been entirely well. 
For the past several months she had been in a 
critical condition and her death was momentarily 
expected. 
Deceased was the widow of the late W. F. Henderson, 
sheriff of Kaufman County, who died a few months ago.

buried Leagueville Cemetery age 41 leaves 
a husband and eight children.

Pioneer Citizen Passes Away
Chandler Feb 13
"Uncle" Henry Southerland, age 75, ex confederate 
vet died at home 5 miles west of Chandler Monday 
at 9 p.m. Buried Chandler Cemetery.

The little two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs 
Ike Miller who died yesterday was buried at the 
city cemetery this afternoon.
