James Monroe Redding was born 01-18-1869 and was first married to Alice Calhoun. To this union five children were born, four still surviving. His first wife died in Oct.1909. On March 15, 1914 he married Miss Ione Donnehue, to the second union six children were born, five surviving.
Mr. Redding was a kind friend and a good neighbor and loved and respected by all who knew him.
He will be greatly missed by all his neighbors and friends, as well as by his devoted wife and children who mourn a kind husband and loving father.
Mr. Redding, while not a member of any church, was a believer in the Methodist faith.
He was convalescent from spell of flu, when stricken Friday afternoon, Feb.6th. with acute pnemonia and dying Sunday morning Feb.8th.
Bro. Garrett, the methodist pastor at Frankston held the funeral services and he was laid to rest in the Poynor Cemetery, Monday at 11 o'clock surrounded by a host of relatives and friends.
May the God of the widow and the fatherless children comfort his loved ones left behind.
