Ida L. Tiner McCool
Graveside services for Ida L. Tiner McCool, 92, of Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Davis Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Wigley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. McCool died Jan. 23, 2002, in Athens.
She was born Jan. 23, 1910, in Athens to Lee and Estelle Smith Tiner.
Mrs. McCool was a lifelong resident of the Athens area. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton McCool; and son, Robert McCool.
Survivors include her daughters, Dorothy Borque and Alice Smiley, both of Athens; daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby and Charles Pillow of Athens, Deanie and Ralph Miller of Poynor, Lynda and Rick Allen of Athens and Shirley and Tom
Akers of Desoto, Kan.; sister, Jewell Sisson of Athens; brothers, Warren Tiner of Tyler and Arthur Tiner of Athens; daughter-in-law, Faye McCool; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Ward, Jason Miller, Bobby Jack Little, Rayford Tiner, Raymond Tiner, Wesley Akers and Ashley Williams.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

J.P. 'Nuke' Boyd
Services for J.P. Boyd, 85, of Irving were held on Jan. 2 in the Chapel of Brown's Memorial Funeral Home in Dallas.
He was buried at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Mr. Boyd died Dec. 29, 2001.
He was born, May 24, 1916, to Pearl and Charlie Boyd in Athens.
Mr. Boyd and his seven siblings grew up in Athens and he enlisted in the National Guard and eventually joined the U.S. Army. He fought in World War II in north Africa, Italy and Sicily, earning three Bronze Stars during his three years of foreign duty. He was a member of UAW, and retired after several decades from General Motors in 1979. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. After retiring, he pursued gardening, canning vegetables and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Loretta Boyd
He is survived by his wife, Betty N. Boyd; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Susan McHorse of Gordonville, Ronald Rae of Houston and Seoul, Korea, Chief Justice Linda Thomas of Dallas, Nancy and Joe Boorman of Lafayette, Ind., and Bonnie and Billy Selman of Irving; two sisters, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Trammell of Athens and Dora Faulkner of Irving; and one brother, Emmett Boyd of Woodbine, Ga.

J. R. Boyd
Services for J.R. Boyd, 82, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Dr. Kyle Henderson officiating.
Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery in Henderson County under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Boyd died April 11, 2002, in Athens.
He was born June 7, 1919, in Henderson County to Andrew Emmett and Nannie Elizabeth Chipley Boyd.
Mr. Boyd was a resident of Athens all his life. He graduated from Henderson County Junior College, now Trinity Valley Community College. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens. He owned and operated service stations in Athens for 17 years. He also worked for Curtis Mathis for 15 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Athens Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 11 brothers and sisters; and daughter, Nana Ruth Boyd Cox, on March 27, 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Oleta Bass Boyd of Athens; son, Barry Boyd of Dallas; daughter, Kay Suberi of Austin; sister, Ila Mae "Pete" McGee of Athens; and five grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Jessie Paul McCool
Graveside services for Jessie Paul McCool, 76, of North Richland Hills are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Davis Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Mangum officiating.
Services will be under the direction of Shannon Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
Mr. McCool died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at the North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills.
He was born June 25, 1923, in Blackfoot, Texas, the son of James Alexander and Nannie Eudora Campbell McCool
Mr. McCool had retired after 23 years as a welder from the Darr Equipment Company. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Haltom City Masonic Lodge #1331.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Mae McCool; son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Ann McCool of North Richland Hills; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Parker of North Richland Hills; brother, A.C. McCool of Saint Jo, Mo.; three grandchildren, Kevin McCool, Justin Parker and Jennifer Eustace; and a great-grandson, Hunter Eustace.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday at 2-4 p.m. at Shannon Rufe Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth. The address is 6001 Rufe Snow Drive.

Leslie Burnell Trammell
Services for Leslie Burnell Trammell 63 of Baton Rouge, La. Were at 11am Tuesday at Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge with the Rev. Gary Rayburn and Father Thomas Duke officiating.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
Mr. Trammell died July 25,1999 in Baton Rouge.
He was born March 22, 1936 in Henderson County to Walter Burnell and Etyel Glidewell Trammell. He lived in the Baton Rouge area most of his life and was retired from Allied Chemical in Baton Rouge. He was a avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his cabin on the river. He was a fun loving son, husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Trammell was preceded in death by his mother, Etyl Trammell Sharp, in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Pat Trammell of Greenwell Springs, La; sons and daughter-in-law, Craig and Sue Trammell, Rodney and Gail Trammell and Jeffery and Anna Trammell; eight grandchildren; father Walter Burnell Trammell of Athens, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Henderson County.

Mrs. Boyd Dies At Home In Athens After Long Illness
Mrs. Loucritta Boyd, resident of Henderson County for the past 58 years, died at her home in Athens Tuesday after an illness of one year.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Roane Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Weisinger of Elkahrt officiating. Interment will be at the Roane Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyd 70, was born in Navarro County. She is survived by her husband J. D. Boyd; two sons Millard of Athens and Bernice of El Paso; three daughters Mrs. Bessie James of Fort Worth, Mrs. Effie Holman of Athens and Mrs. Ressie Keeton of Athens.
Also listed as survivors are four half-brothers. Bill, Luke, Ed, and Dock Simmons; two half-sisters Mrs. Martha Bell of Fort Worth and Mrs. Jennie Nace. Ed and Dock Simmons are residents of Sweetwater.
Mrs. Boyd is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Boyd, A. R. Boyd, Herman Stone, J. D. Stone, Thomas Simmons and Prey Simmons.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hassell & Foster Funeral Home.
Note: Mrs. Boyd was born Oct 14, 1879 and died Oct 11, 1949

Angie Bell Meador Allen
Services for Angie Bell Meador Allen, 89, of Athens were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with the Rev. Jack Allen and Allen Byrd officiating.
Burial followed at Post Oak Cemetery under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. Allen died Feb. 20, 2002, in Athens.
She was born Aug. 31, 1912, in Athens to Jim and Callie Bell Meador.
Mrs. Allen was a Primitive Baptist. She was a homemaker and a seamstress and a lifelong resident of Henderson County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Barbara Allen of Athens; daughter and son-in-law, Pattie and Hollis Griffin of Mesquite; son, Joe Allen of Cross Roads; sister, Nona Boyd of Athens; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Allen, Bobby Jack Allen, Leroy Rakestraw, Elliott Cearly, Scott Smith and Dusty Deaton

Brady Paris
Funeral services for Brady Paris, 23, of Crawford and formerly of Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Christian Church in the Bethel community with the Revs. Perry Smith and Bob Tice officiating.
Burial will be at Shelby Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Paris died Friday, February 22, 2002, at his residence in Crawford.
He was born in Athens on May 1, 1978, to Billy Dean Paris and Sally Fawn Cook Greer.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, D.O. Paris; and maternal grandfather, Loran "Chunk" Cook.
Mr. Paris was a resident of Crawford for the past six months and a resident of Athens most of his life. He graduated from Athens High School in 1997. Whether climbing a power pole or slinging mud with his truck, if he was outdoors he was happy.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Billy and Sharla Paris of Athens; mother and stepfather, Sally and Randy Greer of Waco; brother, Brian Paris of Athens; stepbrothers, Shayde Harrison of Athens and Blaine Harrison of Euless; paternal grandmother, Alla Bea Paris of Athens; maternal grandmother, Maureen Cook of Waco; stepgrandparents, O.F. and Genelle Armstrong of Trinidad; and uncles and aunt, Randy and Carolyn Paris, Jerry Lee Paris and Marshall Cook, all of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Godwin, Ronnie Crabtree, Terry Wilcox, Derk Sharp, Kelsie Due and Loyd Feagins.

Buddy Anding
Services for Buddy Anding, 66, of Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Russ Frase and Phil Greenawalt officiating.
Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.
Mr. Anding died Dec. 2, 2000, in Athens.
He was born February 24, 1934, in Athens to Orval Bud and Zula Alene Gage Anding.
A lifelong resident of Henderson County, Mr. Anding owned and operated Anding Brothers Construction Company and was the overseer of the Rainbow Club. He was a member of Dogwood Baptist Church, former president of Henderson County Cattle Association and had served several local churches as elder and deacon.
Mr. Anding was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kenneth Anding, in 1984.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Margaret Anding of Athens; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Bud and Tina Anding of Cross Roads; sister, JoRene Carroll of Chandler; uncle, Rance Anding of Athens; aunts, Evelyn Clayton of Fort Worth, Elwanda Crawford of Dallas and Geraldine Pollard of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Pallbearers include Matt Anding, Luke Holcomb, Tony Holcomb, Greg Holcomb, Curtis Carroll, John Holcomb, Roy Holcomb and Chris Holcomb

Burnie 'Aunt B' Rounsavall Fisher
Graveside services for Burnie "Aunt B" Rounsavall Fisher, 88, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens with Kelly Joe Carnes officiating.
Ms. Fisher died May 13, 2001, in Athens.
She was born July 28, 1912, in Brownsboro to John Anding "Dink" and Ruth Corley Rounsavall. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Houston. She was a graduate of Electra High School in Electra and attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She was a retired executive secretary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dude Rounsavall; and nephew, Dr. T.Y. Rounsavall.
Ms. Fisher is survived by a niece, Burnie Kay Huffman; sister-in-law, Edith Rounsavall; cousin, Newlon Rounsavall and wife Geri; along with other cousins.
Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Foster & Brown Funeral Home.
