Obituary
Royal Owen Byers

God has given to man various kinds of flowers to enjoy. there are those that come with early spring and stay until the hoary frost bites their petals, and they wither and die. Then there is the lovely rose that buds today and blooms tomorrow only to wither and die. Yet, its sweetness and beauty give a charm and loveliness to the garden that no other flower can bring. How, like the rose is the little child who is born today and in the months that follow we see his little life unfolding like petals of the rose. When the petals are rolled back so that the sunlight of human love may be taken in more fully, God, the care taker of the human garden, suddenly comes and plucks the rosebud from among us and transplants it in Heaven.

The little rose that has just been plucked from among us is little Royal Owens Byers who was born Oct. 10, 1927 and died Mar. 21, 1931. He leaves, to mourn his departure, his mother and father, two sisters, Mary Louise and Peggy Jeane, and two brothers Maynard and Billie Bob.

Little Royal Owens had suffered for many months with a headache. A tumor developed on his brain and his suffering was intensified until death came as a relief. --Contributed.
