Brother Of Trinidad Woman Dies Monday At Colorado City

Sid Blanton, 68, brother of Mrs. Nettie Stevens of Trinidad, died Monday at his home in Colorado City at 4:00 a.m. His death, which occured suddenly,
was attributed to a heart attack.
Born in Mississippi, Mr. Blanton had lived most of his life in Henderson County. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran
of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Pierce of Colorado City; a brother, Fred Blanton of Emory; two half-brothers, Jack Stone and Percy Stone
of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Stevens, Trinidad; a step-sister, Mrs. Pearl Boyd of Athens, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Athens at the Central Baptist Church, with the Rev. George Shoff and the Rev. Don Shoff officiating.
Burial was in the Rome Cemetery.
