Rites For Mr. Stephenson Held Monday

Funeral services for H. F. Stephenson, who died Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. W. C. Nickell, in Eustace, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of Christ in that town.
The services were conducted by Bro. Price of Wills Point, Church of Christ. Burial was in the Moorehead Cemetery near Eustace.
The Hassell & Foster Funeral Home of Athens was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stephenson was born on December 15, 1863, in Manning, Louisiana, and moved to Texas at the age of twelve. He joined the Baptist Church when he was four-teen years old. He had made his home in Lake Charles, Louisiana, for four years before moving to Eustace recently.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nickell and Mrs. W. C. Dingler, the latter of Wichita Falls; one son Redin Stephenson of San Angelo and one brother, L. M. Stephenson of Roscoe.

Mrs. Tanner Dies Sunday At Home In Ash

Mrs. Ezzie Tanner Ellabell Tanner, lifelong resident of Henderson County, died Sunday night at 9 o'clock at her home in the Ash community following a short illness.
She was born on February 21,1889, at Bethel, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cain Cox. She was the wife of Henry Tanner, well known Henderson County farmer and livestock man.
Besides her husband, she is survived by five sons, Reagan and Wofford Tanner of Houston, Dean Tanner of Tyler, and Jack Tanner, member of the Merchant Marines; one brother, Norman J. Cox of Dallas; two half brothers, Luther Cox and Elbert Cox of Athens, and three sisters, Mrs. Deller Ritter and Mrs. Clifford Morgan of Athens, and Mrs. Ruby Green of El Paso.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Shelby Chapel Church, with the Rev. W. B. Oliver of Athens officiating. Burial was in the Shelby Chapel Cemetery.
The Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
