Services for Ima Jean Baker were held Wed., Nov. 1, 2006, at Second Baptist Church in Lamesa with Bro. Rush Coffman and Clifton Igo officiating. Burial was held at 3 p.m. in the Colorado City Cemetery, under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.

Mrs. Baker died Sun., Oct. 29th in Lamesa. She was born in San Angelo to Harvey and Vera Weir on June 11, 1928. She married Cecil Long in December of 1950. He preceded her in death in 2003. She remarried on Nov. 11, 1973, to Carl Baker. She was a bookkeeper and served in the church for many years. She was a member of 2nd Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Jean Long Clemmer of Colorado City, Kitty Jo Long Cannon of Gilmer and Margaret Long Adams of Merkel; one sister, LaTrice Weir Heald of Lamesa; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Long in 1976 and husband, Carl Baker in 1987.
