LORAINE -- Mr. Barney Barnett, age 64, of Loraine, died Monday, September 28, 2009, in a local hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Kiker-Seale Chapel with Rev. Mike Foster officiating,. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Barnett was born on April 13, 1945 in Pasadena, CA to Berton and Dorothy Hatch Barnett and had been a lifelong resident of Mitchell County. He was ranch hand for the Y5 Ranch for many years. He was also a member of the First Assembly of God.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Barnett of Loraine; his mother, Dorothy Barnett of Colorado City; a son, Richard and wife, Elizabeth Barnett of Killeen, a daughter, Lori Barnett and husband Jeff Lewis of Loraine; a sister, Bonnie Fowler of Big Spring; a brother, Lynn Barnett of Big Spring; 6 grandchildren and 2  great grandchildren.
