MRS. BEDFORD, 78, DIES; FUNERAL SET TODAY AT BUFORD

COLORADO CITY (RNS) ~~ Mrs. Reese Bedford, 78, died at her home in Buford early Tuesday morning.

Born November 25, 1881 in Alabama she came to Mitchell County in 1902. She married Mr. Bedford February 21,1906 in the Union Community. He died in February 1951.

Funeral will be held in the Buford Methodist Church at 4 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dale Swain, pastor, officiating assisted by the Rev. Roy R Havens and the Rev. Bill Worrell. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker and Son Funeral Home.

Survivors include three sons, Rev. Travis Bedford of Abilene, Ray of Big Spring and Bob of Colorado City; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Mensick of Carlsbad, New Mexico; one sister, Mrs. J.W. Turner of Sylvester; one brother, J.E. McCreless of Stanton; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
