COLORADO CITY ~~ (RNS) ~~

D. W. (Red) Black, 65, died in the Veterans Hospital in Big Spring Tuesday about noon after a three week illness.

Funeral will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Kiker-Rains-Seale Chapel with the Rev. Ray Copeland of Loraine officiating.

Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery.

Born February 14, 1906, in Cottle County, he had lived in Mitchell County most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. R. M. Cain of Colorado City and Mrs. Mae Whitley of Hobbs, NM; and three brothers, H. A. Black of Little Rock, Barney of Sweetwater and W. H. of Robert Lee.
