COLORADO CITY (RNS)~~ Homer H. Cannon, 57, of Colorado City, owner and operator of a service station, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in Root Memorial Hospital after becoming suddenly ill on a hunting trip last Tuesday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Calvary Baptist Church.

The Rev. Harold Henderson, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Caddo Matthews of the Plainview Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery under direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Born March 28, 1917, in Paris, he married Ruby Mitchell in 1936 in Paris. They came to Colorado City in 1941. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Davis of Odessa, Mrs. Cathy Matlock of Colorado City and Dana Cannon of the home; three sons, Jerry of Big Spring, Kenneth of Arlington and James of Colorado City; three sisters, Mrs. Vergilee Thomas and Mrs. Viola Grant, both of Paris, and Mrs. Nancy Reeder of Richardson; two brothers, Ellis of Paris and Gun of Blossom; and 11 grandchildren.
