GERTRUDE COMPTON

Gertrude Compton died Friday about 11 p.m. in her home at 1125 Chestnut in Colorado City.
Funeral for Mrs. Compton will be conducted Sunday, at 2 p.m. , in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Roenfeldt, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery, under the direction of Kiker
Funeral Home.
Mrs Compton, the former Gertrude Schafer, was born December 3, 1907, in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was married to Dick Compton April 3, 1928 in Austin, Texas. They moved to Colorado City in 1929.
Survifors are her husband of the home and a sister, Mrs. Lorena Cochron of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
