JIM COMPTON DIED MONDAY

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Tuesday at 3 o'clock for James Henry Compton, 52, who died at the Johnson Hospital June 8th.
after an illness of two weeks.
Mr. Compton was born February 16, 1890 in Morgan County, Alabama.
Leaving Alabama in 1895 he moved to Eastland County, Texas, and to Mitchell County in 1932.
He married Miss. Della Simmons November 11, 1909, who preceded him in death in 1929. To this union six children were born.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W. J. Freeman of Gorman, Texas, Mrs. Leon Oliver of California and Laverne Compton; three sons, Andrew, James W. and Olen of Loraine.
Services were conducted by Rev. E. C. Raney and Rev. H. A. Polnac.
Burial was in the Loraine Cemetery under direction of G. W. Hendrick.
Pallbearers were Bob Horton, J. W. Moore, Claude Woods, O. C. Curtis, Woodrow Taylor and M. C. Carpenter.
