Compton Funeral Held at Nimrod
Funeral for William Noah Compton was held at the Nimrod Baptist Church Saturday
at 2:30.
Mr. Compton died Friday in the Root Hospital in Colorado City. He had been in
ill health three years and was visiting a daughter, Mrs. Ines Holt, in Colorado
City when he entered the hospital. Other daughters surviving are Mrs. Winnie
Spencer of LaFeria, Mrs. Julia Hedrick of Putman, Mrs. Cecil McBeth of Mexia; a
son, Dewey Compton of Midland; a brother, John Compton of Loraine; and a sister,
Mrs. Eula Tunstill of Fort Worth.
