TREVOR CRAWFORD OF COAHOMA DIES

BIG SPRING (RNS) ~~ Trevor T. Crawford, 49, former Colorado city councilman and mayor, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in a Big Spring hospital.
Mr. Crawford, who resided in Coahoma and was project engineer for the Cosden Oil and Chemical Company, was born January 8, 1917, in Jay, Oklahoma, and attended Oklahoma A&M College. He married Mary Reavis in Chickasha, Oklahoma, October 9, 1937, and with his family moved to Colorado City in 1947 when he was employed by the Col-Tex Refinery. He has been with the Cosden Oil company since 1965.
A member of the Coahoma Church of Christ and Coahoma Lions Club, he was past president of the Colorado City Kiwanis Club, a teacher in the North Side Church of Christ in Colorado City and served in the Seabees in World War II.
He was a city councilman at Colorado City for three terms from 1954 - 60 and served as mayor for three years. He was a leader in the development of the Interstate 20 freeway project in Mitchell County and the city carried out its street paving, water and sewer projects wile he served on the council.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Coahoma Church of Christ with burial in Colorado City Cemetery. Nalley-Pickle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife; one son, David and one daughter, Ann all of the home; his mother, Mrs. A. F. Vann of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers, Bill and Bob of San Bernardino California; and Raymond of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. Anson Sewell of Willow, Oklahoma.
