LOCAL RESIDENT DIES

Bertha Lee Crownover, 74, of Colorado City died at 11:40 A.M. Saturday in Root Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were Tuesday at 2 P.M. in the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Morris Wood, pastor officiating. Burial was in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
She was born Bertha Lee Rose on January 5, 1906 in Erath County, Texas and married A. C. 'Jack' Crownover September 14, 1924 in Bluff Dale, Texas. She has lived in Colorado City for 45 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Evonne Smith of Kansas City, Missouri, Delpha Rich of Colorado City and Winona Bassinger of Abilene; a son, J. L. Crownover of Abilene; a sister, Mildred Jones of Pampa; two brothers, Kennth Ross of Stratford, Oklahoma and Bob Ross of Oklahoma City.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
