Wesley Waylan Fortenberry

Mr. Wesley W. Fortenberry, age 70, of Colorado City and a fromer longtime resident of Big Spring, died Friday night, April 18 at his residence. Graveside services will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday, April 23 in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Fortenberry was born August 14, 1937 in Colorado City to Loyd and Rae Tickle Fortenberry. He worked in the maintenance department for the Texas Highway Dept in both Colorado City and Big Spring. He was a veteran of the US Army in the late 50's and early 60's, very active in the Relay for Life and a Baptist.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Fortenberry of Colorado City and Ron Fortenberry of Florida; a step-son, James Martin of San Angelo; 2 grandchildren, Breanna Fortenberry and Brice Fortenberry, both of Big Spring; and a brother, "Dub" Fortenberry of McAllen.
He is preceded n death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
