James Garfield Fox

Mr. James Garfield Fox, age 88, passed away on March 4, 2009 in Fort Worth. The funeral was held Friday, March 6, 2009 at Christian Temple Church in Colorado City, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bobby Matlock officiating. Services were under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Mr. Fox worked many years for Lone Wolf Electric Company in Colorado City and retired as a line foreman. He was a WWII Army Veteran and farmed on a part time basis. Mr. Fox has been a resident of Colorado City since 1928.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Avis LaVerne Matlock; daughters, Eva Janell Barnfield and Wanda Janene Williams; two brothers and four sisters.
He was survived by sons, James Dale Fox and wife, Debbie of Keller, Rodney Dalton Fox and wife, Linda of Colorado City; daughter, Peggy Sue Lunceford and husband Lloyd of Rising Star; sisters, Nancy Brewer and husband, Don of Odessa, Agnes Harrison of Monahans and Lula Belle Ward of San Antonio; 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
