MRS. J. A. FREE FUNERAL IS HELD IN COLORADO CITY

COLORADO CITY ~ June 4 ~ Funeral for Mrs. J.A. Free, 66, long time Colorado City resident who died in Root Memorial Hospital Saturday night, was to be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the 5th. and Elm Street
Church of Christ here.
Floyd Spivey, minister, was to officiate, burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker and Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Free was born December 27, 1889 in San Saba and came to Colorado City in 1907. She married James A. Free January 12, 1908. He died in 1954.
She is survived by three sons, Otis and Alton of Colorado City and Woodrow of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Zena Free of Colorado City; six sisters, Mrs. B. H. Loving of Big Spring, Mrs. Pearl Hart of Lubbock, Mrs. S.S. Swafford of Arlington, Mrs. Mary Altizer of Fort Worth, Mrs. Leon Jenkins of Colorado City, and Mrs. Arthur Greer of McLean; one brother, John Waller of Mansfield; and fifteen grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
