Mrs. Lillian Ajmour Hardin Free, 87, of Colorado City died Friday, May 9, 2003, in a local care center. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday in the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Free was born to Robert Earnest and Mattie Ola McCullar Hardin in Comanche County, Texas on June 23, 1915. She married Otis Free in Coahoma on June 23, 1933. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1988. She was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Colorado City.
She is survived by eight children: Ann Boland of Modesto, California, Marie Garrett of Forsan, Texas, Wanda Escobar of Stockton, California, Opal Tackel of Bridgeport, Texas, James Free of Colorado City, Texas, Jackie Garrett of Colorado City, Texas, Donna Solari of Modesto, California and Rhonda Arrelano of Midland, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren; one sister, Hellen Boyd of Modesto, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years; four sons: Jerry Joe Free, Rex Free, Robert Free and Charles Free. Two brothers and two sisters.
