LORAINE -- Mrs. Mary Lou Garcia, age 56, died on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in Abilene. Rosary was held on Friday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial followed in the Loraine Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mary was born on January 24, 1954, to Porfirio Martinez and Angie Aguilar Martinez in Slaton. She was a longtime resident of Loraine and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She worked as a housekeeping supervisor with La Quinta Inn and Suites in Sweetwater since 1989.

She is survived by her husband, Lionel Garcia, Sr. of Loraine; daughters, Veronica Rosas and husband, Billy of Sweetwater and Melissa Muñoz of Hereford; sons, Paul Garcia and wife, Elaine of Loraine, Abraham Garcia of Loraine, Jonathan Garcia of Loraine and Anthony Garcia Loraine; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; her mother, Angie Aguilar Condarco and husband, Joe; brothers, Porfirio Martinez of Lubbock, Rick Martinez of San Angelo and Joe Louis Martinez of Loraine; sisters, Dora Martinez of San Angelo and Angie DeLeon and husband, Robert of Crane.

She was preceded in death by her son, Lionel Garcia, Jr. and father, Porfirio Martinez.
