1917-2010
COLORADO CITY – Mrs. Martha Gilstrap, age 92, of Colorado City, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 night in a local hospital. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Colorado City Cemetery with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gilstrap was born August 16, 1917, in Van Buren, IN to Witmer and Mabel Horn Ballard and had been a resident of Colorado City since 1948. She married Ed Gilstrap in 1935 in Breckenridge. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2000. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Donal and wife, Barbara Gilstrap of Howe, and James and wife, Delores Gilstrap of Woodsboro; two sisters, Thelma Headrick of Westbrook, and Ruby Franks of Wink; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to the Calvary Baptist Church.
