Robert J. Haggerton, age 84, died on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 in Colorado City. Funeral services were held at Oak Street Baptist Church on Saturday, November 17, with Reverend Jackie Brem officiating. Burial followed in the Colorado City Cemetery.
Mr. Haggerton was born January 16, 1923, to B. L. Haggerton and Adie Armstrong Haggerton in Range, Oklahoma.
He was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church and a resident of Colorado City. Mr. Haggerton served in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by his daughter, Darla Moon of Oak Dale, California; son, Robert D. Haggerton and wife Mary of Colorado City; step daughters, Darlene Henderson of Colorado City and Jana of Victoria; step sons, Steve Owens,
James Owens and Ronnie Owens of Colorado City and David Owens of San Angelo; a sister, Omadell Haggerton of Colorado City; 21 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Robert J. was preceded in death by his wife, Gerry Haggerton on April 27, 1999; a son, Jerry Dean Haggerton and grandson, Kevin Ball.
