Billy Joe "Wild Bill" Nelson

Billy Joe "Wild Bill" Nelson, 38, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Mona Lue Tonn, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 29, 2010, at the funeral home.

He was born on February 28, 1972, in Big Spring, Texas and married Jamie Rae Feemster on February 14, 2008 in Big Spring, Texas.

Billy was a life long resident of this area. He had worked as a roughneck all of his life and was currently a driller with Robinson Drilling Company. He was full of life and was loved by everyone he met.

He attended Cornerstone Covenant Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Nelson of Big Spring; one daughter, Shelbi Kay Nelson of Big Spring; three step-sons, Tyler, Dylan and Austin all of Big Spring; his parents, Rick and Rhonda Nelson of Big Spring; a sister and brother-in-law, Bobbi and Randy Johnson of Big Spring; a brother, Terry Wayne Bliesner of Bloomfield, New Mexico; and several nieces & nephews including Richard, Vanessa, Brennan and Gary III.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Melba Womack; his grandfather, Arnold Nelson; his step-grandmother, Ruth Echols; and a brother, Rick Arnold Nelson, Jr.

The family suggests memorials be made to to a favorite charity.
