Postcard From Dan
The San Patricio County News building in Sinton, Texas, purchased by Dan in 1912. The following letter was written on the back probably in 1913 after a year in Texas.
Dear Father,
This is a picture of our new office. It is 25 x 60 feet and while the building doesn’t look so fine from the outside, it is one of the best buildings in town and we have it nicely furnished inside. Our business is building up fairly well. We have enjoyed good business this last year and have saved enough in that time to about pay for our building, which cost $ (illegible). Our crops are looking fine at this time. We have had a better prospect of big crops, but the price (illegible) an everything that the (illegible) rains. Hope you and mother are feeling good and enjoying yourselves. Wish you could spend the summer with us.
