Rumph Family Cemetery

[No photo available]

How To Get There: From Beltway Drive South (FM 707) go south on US Highway 84 for 12.3 miles to the intersection of FM 614. Turn left (east) and go 5.8 miles to the intersection of CR 140. CAUTION: CR 140 intersects right at the end of a sharp, 90° turn and to compound things it is a gravel road. Turn left (east) on Cr 140 and go a short distance to the first gate on the left (north). Follow the pasture road to the cemetery near the base of the hill. This cemetery is on private property (Harper Ranch) but don't waste your time trying to get permission to go to this cemetery. Unfortunately the present land owner appears to have no interest in genealogy or preservation of any information concerning identification of those buried at this gravesite. It's possible the cemetery has been destroyed.

Many thanks to Mrs. Zachry for this material. I suspect this information would be lost forever had it failed to be part of her very interesting book.
Since the landowner denies entry to visit the cemetery, I have no picture of this old cemetery. If anyone has a picture, please consider sharing it by making it part of this web page.
