Tolbert-Swint Cemetery
Home

Tolbert Cemetery is one of several in Titus County that must, at this time, be considered lost. Since no monuments existed in the cemetery, no effort was expended to locate it exactly This cemetery was on the Benjamin Tolbert Headright survey A-574 and plot 200. This land was subsequently included in the mine property. It was bulldozed and all traces of it lost. The Tolbert and Whitus families sold this land to Fred Swint on September 28, 1885 and reserved one-half acre where the graveyard is located.
