Williams-Glass Cemetery
Home

This is a small family cemetery located in rural North Titus County. It is surrounded by a chain link fence in good condition, however, the cemetery itself is in very poor condition. A large pine tree covers the cemetery and its falling limbs are a threat to the existing monuments. Further, the undergrowth impedes access to the grave sites. There are several monuments showing that the family of Williams and Glass have buried there. Several of the monuments are tilted and need up righting. Others are sinking into the surrounding earth.

To reach the Williams-Glass Cemetery from the Titus County court house, take Jefferson Street (Business US 271) north 1.4 miles to the intersection of Jefferson and Burton (access road of I-30). Turn right (East) onto Burton and continue 0.5 miles to the intersection of Burton and FM 1402 (Harts Bluff Road). Turn left (North) on FM 1402 and proceed 3.3 miles to the intersection of County Road 3240 (CR NE22). After 0.4 miles County Road 3245 (CR NE9) intersects from the North. Turn left (North) on CR 3245 and proceed for 1.4 miles. The cemetery lies on the left about 200 yards out in the pasture. It is necessary to cross a ravine and overflow branch from a stock tank that is South of the cemetery. Coordinates: 33o14.692'N 094o56.253'W
